complaining deadsea scroll ROM

it is utterly socking how much in history could be impacted by the few pieces of writings from a time almost 20 centuries ago...confronting us with the dull yellow-ness. how incomparable is it with entertainment shows that are priced ten times the ticket for the scrolls. how blind are our hearts and eyes if we complained about the un-entertaining experience of ROM visit.

I don't understand, why the idea of "enterainment" can become a criteria in responding ROM's exhibit?

But then, even Jennens, the lyricrist of Handel's Messiah described it as "a fine entertainment".

Where's the fine line?

it depends what entertain certain group of people. Some finds digging deeper in history an entertainment, some finds concert, Karaoke and etc entertainment. It's just different value.

But well, I think those decided to Deadsea Scroll Exhibition should expect this is a more academic exhibition. How can you expect to find cheese cake in Chinese 燒臘店?

i guess the 'combo' idea is what we are tuned to expect. nowadays, everything should be expected in one seating.
